Swimming Lesson Policies and Procedures

  • Parents need to sign a liability statement: though we have never had an accident or injury and are Red Cross certified in swim instruction, CPR and First Aid, this is still a necessity due to the nature of the business.
  • Sessions are 6 lessons – we will try to accommodate those that need fewer sessions on an ‘as available’ basis, but to hold a permanent time slot you need to commit for a full session.
  • Payment is for a full session in advance – Payment may be cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Zelle, or Venmo.
  • For Private Lessons – Missed lessons (due to illness, another appointment you forgot, etc.) need to be made up at a pre-arranged time.
  • For Group Lessons – there are unlimited make-up lessons for group lessons as space allows.
  • Things to bring – suit, towel, dry clothes if desired (changing room available), sunscreen. If your child is not potty trained, we also require a secure swim diaper.
  • Please be on time – if there is a lesson after yours, and you are late, you may not be able to finish the whole lesson.
  • Classes will be held RAIN OR SHINE. The only exception is thunder/lightning. If lightning is 12 miles (or less) away, we will not go in the water or exit the water immediately. Class will be rescheduled. If you are concerned before you leave home, please give us a call/text – weather is very local in Florida.
  • PARKING : You may park on the drive, or on the swale out front. Please try not to block others in if possible, or be prepared to let someone out. Pull all the way forward.
  • We will keep you informed of your child’s progress on a regular basis. If you have any questions or concerns between lessons, please contact us.
